Potted Opens @ Lazybones

Over Memorial Day weekend Potted and Australian-based clothing and homeware design brand Lazybones opened our new collaboration utilizing one of Santa Monica's best-kept retail secrets - the gorgeous garden contained within the Lazybones' Santa Monica store at 2929 Main Street.

We wanted to give the front of the garden gate a little pizzaz so we commissioned artist Melinda Boyce of Cactus Club Paper to paint an incredible mural across the whole front of the fence.

Coming into the garden you see the bright wall of Fermob Bistro Furniture we have on the wall.

In the Lazybones store looking out to the garden. Their floral inspired vintage textile designs just scream garden party.

The whole weekend was filled with events and giveaways including this fascinating DIY Hanging Planter demo created by Chantel and Ryan of the very popular blog The Horticult on Saturday.

And on Sunday morning, visitors were treated to a raised planter bed demo by Conor Fitzpatrick of Mini Farm Box.

On Sunday afternoon, everyone enjoyed a discussion of container gardening with native plants for the Santa Monica climate by Margaret Oakley of Oakley Gardens and also the Theodore Payne Foundation. Margaret is on the left and our own Mary Gray is on the right.

Bauer Canoes and succulent wall planters.

Our very own Orbit Planters sitting pretty in our Marilyn Leggy Stands.

We're also stocking Loll Design furniture and of course, what outdoor room would be complete without a fire pit?

This bathtub already existed in the garden and we couldn't bear to move it (okay, we actually couldn't move it even if we'd wanted to) so we added a vintage gnome and called it a Potted Garden.

If you're in the neighborhood, please come visit our new showroom. Lazybones is open every day from 10am to 6pm and Sundays from 11am to 6pm. Just come out to the garden and say hi.
